The cheapest defect to fix is the one caught at the yard. Our newbuilding team represents owners from keel laying to delivery, attending tests, witnessing trials, and accepting nothing that does not match the contract. Recent deliveries supervised through to handover include newbuildings from Oshima and Nakanishi.
While vessels are built, Alassia acts as the owners’ representative and:
- attends testing and inspection of machinery, outfitting and equipment, and reviews the results
- requests and agrees alterations, additions or modifications to specifications
- attends and witnesses sea trials
- determines whether vessels have been constructed in accordance with the contracts
- accepts or rejects delivery on the owners’ behalf
